Turkey Gyro with Lettuce

  • Leafy Lettuces, Tomato and Spring Onions,
  • Turkey Meat
  • 2 Garlic Gloves
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • Thyme
  • Caraway
  • Allspice
  • Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Parsley, fresh


Step 1

Wash and dry the lettuce, cut in bite-sized form, drape on plate. Wash and slice tomatoes, place on top of the lettuce leaves.

Step 2

Cut the spring onions into rings, set aside. Wash and clean parsley, set aside.

Step 3

Slice turkey in stripes. Clean and finely chop garlic. Mix the spices: garlic, red pepper flakes, thyme, caraway, allspice, paprika, salt and pepper. Distribute spice mix evenly on the turkey stripes.

Step 4

Heat a pan, add 1 TBsp coconut oil and sear turkey stripes from all sides.

Step 5

Mix the spring onions with the seared meat and decorate it aside the lettuce.

Step 6

Use the parsley leaves as garnish over meat and lettuce.
